STANLEY, Mr. William Franklin Papa, age 73, a resident of Titus, Alabama died Tuesday, March 6, 2007. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 9, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Chamblee, Rev. Bill Baker, and Rev. Jim Hankins officiating. Interment will follow the service in New Home Baptist Church Cemetery, Titus, AL with Ellison Funeral Home of Wetumpka directing. Mr. Stanley is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Jackie McInnish Stanley; two sons, Tim (Kim) Stanley of Merced, CA, and Jon (Tina) Stanley of Titus, AL; six grandchildren, Ben Stanley, Luke Stanley, Micah Stanley, Laura (Keith) Bice, Shelby Stanley, and Haley Stanley; two great-grandchildren, Desirae Bice and Hayden Bice; and a special nephew, Josh Garner. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Billy and Marie Stanley; a son, Steve Stanley; and a sister, Carol Garner. Pallbearers will be Keith Bice, Chuck Causey, Tommy Johnson, Al Edwards, Keevon Findley, and Sammy Cooper. Papa was a great husband, father, and grandfather. His life was his family. He will be remembered for his love of family cookouts, road trips, farming and gardening with Shelby and Haley, his ability to fix broken toys and broken hearts. This loss will leave a void in all our lives that can not be filled and he will truly be missed by all that knew him. Franklin was a Mechanic with Alabama Power Company, having retired after 23 years of service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday, March 8, 2007 at Ellison Funeral Home.
