TUTTLE, Mr. Robert Louis, age 78, a resident of Wetumpka, Alabama died Thursday, March 1, 2007. Mr. Tuttle was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Albert Tuttle and Pruddie MacDougall Tuttle, his brother, Leon Thomas Tuttle, all of Oklahoma, and his grandson, Robert Emory Tuttle of Alabaster, AL. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia Phillips Tuttle of Wetumpka, AL; his daughter, Rebecca Mounteer and her husband, Douglas of North Ridgeville, Ohio, his son, Robert Louis Tuttle, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Atlanta, GA, his son, William Philip Tuttle of Clearwater, FL, six grandchildren, Jason Mounteer (Catherine) of Florence, KY, Shannon McKelvey (Thomas) of Mason, OH, Patrick Mounteer of Cincinnati, OH, Megan Mounteer of Mason, OH, Katherine Sullivan (David) of Muldrough, KY, and Jeremy Tuttle of Plantation, FL; six much loved great-grandchildren, Jack, Brodie, Arianna, Max, Ryan, and Rachel; he is also survived by his sisters, Helen Best (Thair), Elizabeth Cole (Ken) and Wanda (Gene) Jones; and his brothers, Donald (Shirley) and Ronald (Shirley), and his step-mother, Ida Tuttle. Mr. Tuttle was born near Durant, Oklahoma, moved to Oklahoma City, attended Oklahoma City University, worked at the newspaper, The Daily Oklahoman, and WKY-TV, Oklahoma City, before being transferred in 1955 to Montgomery to work at the fledgling WSFA-TV. He was a partner in the advertising agency of Tennille and Tuttle, and various other agencies. He was manager of WKAB-TV for several years and named manager of the year. He accepted the position of Manager of WCCB in Springfield, Ohio for several years before returning to Montgomery. He was also employed by Swanner Moving Company before retiring. He was active in many clubs, serving as President of the Advertising Club of Montgomery, the Montgomery Movers Association, and President of the Kiwanis Club of Montgomery. He was also a member of the vestry and was a Junior and Senior Warden of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter in Montgomery, AL. After retiring to Elmore County, where he supervised the building of a log retirement home, he became active in several organizations, serving as Vice-President of the Elmore County Historical Society. Memorial services will be held, Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with The Right Reverend Edward LaCouer officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Jackson Hospital Foundation, 1725 Pine Street, Montgomery, Alabama 36106, the Elmore County Humane Shelter, 255 Central Plank Road, Wetumpka, AL 36092, or to the Anglican Catholic Church, 249 Tam OShanter, Palm Springs, Florida, 33461.
