GOREE, Ms. Mary Frances, age 74; a resident of Deatsville, AL died Saturday, May 19, 2007, uniting her in Heaven with her Father and Mother. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Ebenezer Bible Church with Pastor Philip Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery with Ellison Funeral Home of Wetumpka directing. Ms. Goree is survived by her brother, James Edward (Betty) Goree, Sr.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Abbie Hunt Goree and Meg Goree; sister, Lennie Sue Cook and by a brother, Albert G. Goree. Pallbearers will be Andrew Dorough, Thomas Dorough, Ken Gibbons, David Gordon, Jonathan Gordon, and James E. Goree, Jr. Honorary pallbearer will be Ben Jeffries. Ms. Goree was a delightful person, finding the greatest joy in the smallest things of life. She was a member of Ebenezer Bible Church, and was a regular at the Millbrook Senior Center. She enjoyed socializing and being in the company of family and friends. Ms. Goree had a passion in collecting teddy bears, rings, and purses. She was an avid domino player. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday, May 21, 2007 at Ellison Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or the family respectfully request memorial contributions be made to Faith & Grace Hospice, 540 Clay Street, Montgomery, AL 36104 or to the American Cancer Society, 3054 McGehee Road, Montgomery, AL 36111.
