DUKE, Mr. Jordan Whit, age 77, a resident of Wetumpka, Alabama died on Monday, August 13, 2007. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 16, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gerald Wood officiating. Interment will follow the service in Faith Baptist Church Cemetery with Ellison Funeral Home of Wetumpka directing. Mr. Duke is survived by his wife, Clara Duke of Wetumpka, AL; one son, Jordan Sweetpea (Debra) Duke, Jr. of Wetumpka, AL; one step-son, James (Linda) Carr of Wetumpka, AL; three daughters, Cynthia Sissy (Lonnie) Mann of Wetumpka, AL, Darlene Myers of Eclectic, AL, and Charlotte (David) Absher of Marbury, AL; two brothers, John Duke and Wesley (Reba) Duke, all of Wetumpka, AL; three sisters, Dora Harris of Wetumpka, AL, Mattie Folmar of Wetumpka, AL and Mary Talley of Gadsden, TN; twelve grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Carl Duke and a daughter, Elaine Duke. Pallbearers will be Edward Goodwin, Nathan Goodwin, David Absher, II, Jimmy Lee Myers, II, Gregory Duke, and William Duke. The family would like to express their thanks to Dr. James Mracek and Dr. Charles Hasty for their care during Whits illness. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 15, 2007 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Ellison Funeral Home.
